Assessment of Coronary Artery Disease

Coronary CT Angiography is used to assess coronary artery disease non-invasively. However, there are limitations due to spatial resolution of the CT system and small motions of the vessels themselves.

Impact of Small Vessels Drifts on Spatial Resolution

Coronary CT angiography images are acquired over a short period of a time (~200 ms). Despite this short window, coronary arteries can drift during image acquisition which impacts our ability to accurately detect disease. In this work, we assessed the impact of these small motions on our ability to visualize vessels and quantified the effects.
