Francisco Contijoch received his Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania focusing on cardiovascular imaging and cardiac physiology. Specifically, he developed cardiac MRI data acquisition, image reconstruction and analysis strategies for imaging patients with arrhythmias as well as estimating load-independent measures of cardiac function.
As a University of California President’s Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Cardiology Division at the University of California San Diego, Francisco developed techniques for quantification of coronary artery disease and regional ventricular function using cine computed tomography (CT).
